Movable Partition Wall

As it is known, there is a need for large-volume meeting spaces in places such as Hotels, Hospitals, Universities, Cultural Centers, Wedding Halls, Theater Halls, Opera Houses and Company Headquarters, where people come together collectively with various activities.. 

Considering the future needs in these buildings with high investment costs, general gathering areas are briefly designed and put into service under the names of Conference Hall, Meeting Hall, Theater, Opera, Wedding Hall.Partition Wall

When designing these Halls, whether it is a speech or a concert accompanied by various instruments or singing, acoustic calculation is needed so that the sound does not scatter, ring,   reach every point of the area equally..

Since the halls are designed for general needs, they are divided within their general acoustic values in case of different events at the same time, and they are made to respond to smaller two, three and more divisions.

The materials we use to create these divisions temporarily and to bring them back to their original position when the activity is over are called Movable Partition Wall.   

Movable Office Partition Walls are panels consisting of materials such as various materials (Rockwool, Sound Insulation Felts, Cork Sheets, Stainless steel sheet) that absorb sound and prevent its transmission by making acoustic calculation, where materials that provide sound insulation are roughly listed in an Aluminum Profile frame carcass and covered with protective materials such as Chipboard, Mdflam.

These panels are stacked side by side to form a temporary fixed wall.

After this rough definition, let's examine it technically. The panels move successively on a rail above. This rail is suspended and fixed to a steel construction.                 

The top and bottom faces of the panels have registers that move up and down. The panels are moved one after the other between two walls 

and fixed to the ground and to each other by the up and down movement of the skids. Thus, when the last panel is locked, a stable sound-insulating wall is obtained.         

The width of the panels varies between 80-110 cm. The height can range from 2.4 m to 12 m. We have manufactured the highest 9.45 m until today.                                                         Our Movable Partitions are used in more than 100 Hotels, Hospitals, Conference and Wedding Halls of our country.       

To give an example for better understanding, Movable Partitions can be used on the floor under a   225 m wide Space cage ceiling, as well as projects that can become 8-10 sections in an area of 1000 m2 and each of them turns into classrooms where lessons are given, and when desired, all panels can be gathered in parking lots and the space can be turned into a conference hall.   

The outer surfaces of the movable partition walls are shaped according to the demands of the architects who design them. Some panels are covered with embroidered slatted surfaces manufactured by furniture manufacturers, as well as projects where decorative surfaces are created from stainless steel sheet, covered with mirrors.

This is decided by the architects who make the design. 

Movable Partition Walls are generally manufactured in the range of 45 - 57 DB. Separate internal combinations are needed for each DB, this is determined according to the Acoustic calculation.

Types of manufacturing of movable partition walls:

a. Manual (The fixing of the manually moved panels to the ground is provided by the cam mechanism or jack).

b. Semi-Automatic, (The system in which the panel slides are moved by electric motor and the panels are locked to each other with magnetized devices)

c. Fully Automatic (These are the systems in which the panels are taken by the chain mechanism on the parka panels and then arranged in order by means of the same mechanism and turned into a fixed wall).

We are still manufacturing manually and semi-automatically. Fully automatic systems are manufactured in the world, but we cannot say that they are preferred due to their very high costs.

Manual systems are manufactured as full or glazed on both sides due to their internal mechanism systems.

These systems are manufactured up to 6 m height using Jumbo Glasses.  

A semi-automatic 15 m wall can be opened and collected in maximum 1.5-2 minutes.

When the movable partition walls are fully closed, passages are made with single or double-leaf doors.

In some enterprises, due to regulations (30'-60') are manufactured as fire resistant.

In this case, panel surfaces are made of fire resistant materials and fire resistant varnish is applied on them.
